Assistant Operations ManagerClassification:

Operations Manager Summary The Assistant Operations Manager (AOM) assists the Operations Manager with the management of its personnel (including recruiting, hiring, training and orientation), operations, financial accountability, equipment care, maintenance of facilities, and governmental liaison responsibility within their assigned location.
The AOM may work directly with the Special Use Permit Administrator from the USFS (or equivalent).
Essential FunctionsAssists with the oversight of all regular operations for the assigned permitted area and keeps the corporate officers informed of operational and logistical needs within their assigned area of responsibility.
Acts as a liaison between the US Forest Service and the Corporate Office.
Oversees, advises, and guides Site Managers in the operations of their assigned areas, and serves as a liaison between field personnel and the corporate staff.
May assist Operations Manager in the preparation and updating of manuals, operations plans, annual budgets, and equipment needs.
May assist and advise corporate officers in the formulation and/or approval of field policies and procedures.
Provides necessary training to management personnel, supervisory staff, and other assigned personnel within their area of responsibility.
Regularly visits all areas within their geographical area of responsibility; attends regular meetings with our partnering government agency representatives.
Addresses any visitor complaints or incidents that may occur, and takes whatever necessary actions possible to resolve such situations.
Exercises familiarity with local, county, state, and federal statutes as they apply within their assigned area.
Oversees and corrects, as needed, any deficiencies in operations in order to comply with Permit, Operating Plan, and Company operating standards.
Keeps corporate staff informed of any significant problems or issues within area, and will perform other related duties as may be assigned by corporate officers.
QualificationsPrior Company management experience a plus.
Minimum commitment to the position of a two-year term is required to provide corporate continuity.
Thorough understanding of Company procedures (both local and corporate); compliance and rules enforcement (including federal, state and local laws).
Prior personnel management experience; open to feedback and possess a desire for continuous learning.
Possesses common sense and good judgement; able to make decisions within the boundaries of this position.
Knowledge of general bookkeeping principles, purchasing, human resources, and public relations.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills and abilities.
Knowledge of emergency procedures and safety compliance.
Computer proficiency with MS Office and working knowledge of general office equipment.
Strong customer service skills; enjoys working in an environment of extensive public contact.
Flexible, adaptable and resilient.
Basic manual labor abilities, including an ability and willingness to clean and sanitize facilities with a variety of cleaning agents and chemicals.
Solid administrative abilities and computer skills, including recordkeeping and money handling.
Courageousness and ability to effectively handle a variety of conflicts.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision, and be able to learn quickly and follow instructions accurately.
Willing to work a flexible work schedule, including regular evenings and weekends.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
